Type: Landscape / Art Interpretation Location: Sydenham Client: Inner West Council

We were engaged by the then Marrickville Council (now Inner West Council) to design a landscape and art interpretation space in the location of a former church that was to be demolished. The Church was within Sydenham Green, the public park resulting from the demolition of residential areas deemed uninhabitable following Sydney airport extensions in the mid '90's. Our approach was to reference materiality, community, and culture- within a tight budget and on a highly constrained site- to create a space for contemplation and connection.
